Bonding is an aesthetic treatment performed by applying a composite resin to only the required areas without removing any tissue and abrading any surface on the tooth surface.

Bonding application is an easy and economical aesthetic approach. This method is used for closing the spaces between the teeth, removing the deformities in the teeth, and changing the tooth colors. The treatment is carried out in one session. The duration of the treatment depends on the number of teeth to be treated and is approximately 45 minutes. Following the roughening of the tooth surface, bonding application is performed and the composite tooth of the tooth color is applied to the surface. The treatment is completed by performing finishing and polishing steps.

Post-Bonding Application

It is recommended not to consume colored foods within the first 72 hours after bonding treatment to prevent possible discoloration and staining. Habits such as tea, coffee and smoking lead to the coloring of the composite material. A daily care should be performed for the teeth and routine dentist visits should not be missed. Hard foods should never be bitten, as the resistance of the composite resins is not as high as the natural teeth. The life of bonding treatment is limited to 3-4 years and may need to be restored in long-term use.
